What is Nakama?
A virtual companion with a face, expressions and a voice of its own, for iPhone, iPad and Android. You talk to it — typing or dictating — and each conversation becomes your diary: it remembers what you tell it and consolidates it over time.
Manage or cancel the subscription
On iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nakama. That is where you change plan, pause or cancel. On Android, through Google Play → Payments and subscriptions. Subscriptions are always managed from the store, not from the app.
Restore a previous purchase
Open Nakama → Settings → the subscription section → "Restore purchases". You need to be signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with.
Delete your account and data
Settings → Your account → "Delete account", with double confirmation. It permanently removes the profile, conversations, diary, memories and inventory. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately in the store: deleting the account does not cancel it.
Using the app without an account
You can: on the sign-in screen, "continue without an account". Note that such a Nakama lives only on that device — if you lose it or change phone, there is no way to recover it. Linking an account is what makes it recoverable.
Export the diary
Settings → Data & privacy → "Export diary". It produces a Markdown file you can save or share.
Notifications aren't arriving
Check system Settings → Notifications → Nakama, and that proactive notifications are enabled inside the app.
Services the app uses
Supabase, Google (Gemini), RevenueCat, Apple and Google. What each one receives is in the privacy policy.
Is it therapy?
No. Nakama is emotionally informed and recognises signs of crisis so it can offer local resources, but it does not diagnose, does not treat and does not replace professional care. If you are going through a hard time, seek professional help in your country.
